Well, things are basically the same in Wisconsin as far as I know. They expect more people this weekend. The guv told the police to get everyone out of the state house after 4 p.m. and the police evidently refused and are backing these protesters. People all over the world are backing these protesters! Yesterday they had a vote in the State House of Reps and evidently it was after 61 hrs of debating, it was l a.m. and it is very unclear to me how this happened but the Dems didn't know they were voting and the Reps voted w/o them. It was really strange - the Dems were all standing and pointing to the Reps who were leaving and yelling "Shame" - it was very emotional. But I believe it is a bill that the Senate has to vote on also, it was re the union, of course, and this is a stupid report as I don't know exactly what happened but just know that this is what the Republicans are doing. It is like a war. It is a war! Walker keeps talking about outsiders coming in protesting. Somehow the fact that the "tea baggers" were there, about 2,000 of them, protesting (orderly and no violence, thank God) against the WI protesters, doesn't count as outsiders being there altho most of them were from out of the state. They have been interviewing most of the Wisconsin l4 from wherever they are staying (Somewhere in Chicago) and they are sticking together, hopefully, because all they need is one of them to cave and it is all over. Ed of The Ed Show, really gave it to Obama on Thursday. The fact that he is not backing them and showing a clip from when he was campaigning for Prez and saying if there is a strike he will "put on a pair of comfortable shoes and march w/them". Ed was really angry w/Obama and I think I sort of agree w/him. I don't really know if it is right but when you think of it, it was the unions that helped him w/400 million dollars! 2 websites were started for Walker, one was started by Tim Pawlenty and I don't know who started the other and it is to collect $$$$ for what, I don't know. I guess for the Rep party. This has got to end sometime.
On Fox News, Hannity and O'Reilly and on his radio show, Limbaugh, have been bashing the union. Well, how about this -
they are all 3 in a union AFL-CIO! I guess that doesn't count.
Hopefully, something will give this weekend. Walker is pretty set in his ways and doesn't look like he will cave in. However, he is all alone now. His Rep. Gov cronies have all given in re. the collected bargaining rights and it is only him now. Believe me, I feel very strongly that this whole thing has hurt him and that his run for the White House just flew out the window! Let's hope!

Mouthing off
Well, before we get into Wisconsin (again!) you will not believe this! You will think I made it up! Yesterday, I heard that
Congressman Bobby Franklin (R-GA) introduced that bill that - are you ready for this? I don't think you are! - if a woman is pregnant and is alone and has a miscarriage - the police will be required - by law - to interrogate her for possible murder charge! I CANNOT STAND THIS!!!! In other words, if you have a miscarriage and are NOT ALONE, it is ok. But, say, you trip and fall down the stairs and miscarry - you can be tried for murder! GIVE ME A BREAK!!!! Now, I know they have nothing to do in the House of Representatives. There are no jobs for them to find, so they concentrate on abortions, same sex marriage, and now miscarriages!!!!! Especially seeing that abortions are legal in this country and have been since - I think - 1973 or thereabout. WHERE ARE THE JOBS, BOEHNER??????? And it is always a southerner dreaming up this bizarre whatever you want to call it!!!!
Back to Wisconsin, which is also hard to believe. Yesterday, in case you did not hear this already, a blogger in Buffalo, made a phoney phone call to Gov. Walker claiming he was David Koch, of the now infamous Koch Bros. the biggest polluters in the country, the billionaires who give unlimited amounts of $$$$ to Republicans only because of course, they hate Democrats but also because they do not want to clean up the air in this country and want to keep polluting to make ever more $$$$ than they have now. Now, lst of all, the Democrat Senators that have left the state, the Wisconsin l4, some have been trying to talk to the Guv, and he isn't taking their calls. But this guy calls and no one screens the call. Actually, what happened is - he called the guv was busy and they asked if he could call the fake David Koch back and he said no and made up some stupid excuse so they told the phoney Koch to call back which he did and got the guv immediately. The whole phone call was taped and is now on U-tube and was on all the cable news channels yesterday and is quite amusing. The fake Koch said he would like to bring in people to disrupt the protesters and guv said No, he himself thought of doing that, but thought it would hurt him politically etc. etc. Well, someone is bringing this to the attention of an ethics board today and hopefully they can get him on this. The phoney Koch said "after you win this fight I will bring you out to Cali (Cali? he means California ) and we will celebrate. Well, the guv was all atwitter about this! It was quite a phone conversation and very funny! And it all proved that all he wants is to get rid of the union and he was comparing himself to Reagan! This is his thought - he would win this fight and the next step - RUN FOR PRESIDENT!!!!! That was his plan. Well, it certainly doesn't look like it now! Indiana caved. They had to give in and they did and are keeping the collective bargaining rights. The idiot governor of FL yesterday said that the collective bargaining rights are not too bad so it looks like he won't do it. I guess what is happening in WI looks so bad to hin that he is afraid! And rightfully so! This whole thing is unbelievable! I can't get over all the people that are backing these Union people. It is wonderful! It is heartwarming! And everytime I look at that governor I get ill! He is something else!
Well, let's see what today brings! Hopefully something really good!

Mouthing off:
It is amazing what is happening out there.
lst of all - Rahm Emanuel is now the new Mayor of Chicago! How about that! lst time in my lifetime there hasn't been an Irish mayor in Chicago and I am thrilled for him. From what I hear, I think it was going to be touch & go and then they were talking about a tie and a run-off in April but it didn't happen. He won! Now, that was just a primary. However, in Chicago, I gather it doesn't work that way. I don't believe there is a Republic who would run for Mayor in Chicago so that is that!
Now, back to Wisconsin! I have been getting e-mails from all sorts of organizations that I normally get e-mails from, all liberal groups, and I have sent Gov. Walker several e-mails, and I pull no punches. Altho I do keep my language clean. Hard as it is, I do! I give these people so much credit for doing this. And people all over the world are for them and cheering them on! Walker keeps mentioning outsiders coming in but he is only for the Wisconsinites. He said it again last nite and he keeps forgetting the Tea Partiers (I really call them tea baggers) that are bussed in by some group, can't remember the name, but paid for by the Koch Bros. who pulls Walker's strings. Now, they are not Wisconsinites. But he never mentions them. The Wisconsin l4 Dem. Senators are still out, God bless them! At the same time, it is happening in Indiana and Ohio and going to happen in New Jersey and Florida and Pennsylvania. And the people are fighting as they are in WI. In fact, I gather WI gave them the encouragement to do so. Now these governors are starting now as they are afraid because I believe the list to impeach Walker has already begun and they need a certain amount of signatures even tho it can't be done for a year, he still can have a short career. Wow, if they impeach him next year he will have been governor even less time than Palin.
She gives me another reason to hate McCain!!!!!!!
People care complaining that Obama has not been to WI, is not defending him but I heard Howard Fineman yesterday, he is formerly w/Newsweek and now w/Huffington Post and he did explain that Obama should not interfere and it seemed to make sense and we have to think that the Prez knows more than we do (maybe).
Meanwhile, Mr. Boehmer - where are the jobs? The Republicans are so involved in stopping abortion, it's like the most important in their lives. That is all I am hearing about and stopping funding for Planned Parenthood! I cannot believe them. That is all they have to do in the House. Of course, it hasn't gone to the senate yet. We shall see. If they ever get off abortions (which I can't believe they will) maybe, just maybe, they will start thinking about jobs! Do you think so????????????

Mouthing off:
Don't know if anyone is still reading this but it is making me feel good to "spout off" or rather, "mouth off"!
Things are still going strong in Madison. They had over 65,000 people there over the weekend.
Now as I said yesterday, I didn't know where Walker came from. Well, today I do. He was a Milwaukee County Executive, don't know what actually he did other than fire all the union security guards. Then hired - get this - don't know if you remember this but sometime last year there was a bigggggg
problem w/our security guards in Kabul at the American Embassy. They had a porn party, really bad news, they were mostly naked, were eating potato chips (you must forgive me for being graphic) from buttock cracks, yes, you heard right!
They were also peeing on people and God and the authorities only know what else. It was a drinking ORGY! A real orgy! Well, the new security guards that Walker hired came from this same agency. Now, I am not saying that these guys were bad or disgusting or anything. Just saying that they came from the same agency. They may have worked out very nicely. Who knows? The think is, Walker immediately fired every UNION
security guard! So, this Walker is a bad apple from the get-go. How the hell did this guy get elected? It showed him campaigning for the job as Gov and he did tell them what he was going to do but I believe he left out the part of cutting salaries, making them pay for l/2 of pension, making them pay for l/2 of medical insurance. And the whole thing stinks! They agreed to all of this! The union reps said they would ok that, they all agree but they want to keep their collective bargaining and that is where Walker said no. So, you see - it isn't about the money at all! It's the union - he wants to bust the unions! It is that simple! They want to do this across the country. If they win in Wisconsin it will be such a coup! If they lose, well, then, there goes the rest of the country. And everyone knows that Walke is lying. There is no 2.6 billion deficit! Any deficit there is, was caused by him giving tax breaks to Wal-Mart and MacDonalds, for God's sake!!!!!! You see, they need the tax breaks more than the people earning $50,000 a year and having to take more deductions and then what does it leave them! Just read in Twitter today that the Firefighters say they will give their salary for these people to settle - keeping their collective bargaining. How about that? One of the big unions that was exempt as they backed Walker, said they wouldn't back him again. And - I believe they are starting to get the signatures needed to oust him! I hope and pray they do get rid of him and wipe that smug look off his face.
By the way - off of WI - Rush Limbaugh called Michelle Obama fat!! I will leave you with that thought!!!!!!!

Mouthing off:
I haven't even had breakfast yet and I'm caught up in this WI protesting. lst of all - Ian's Pizza (Ian? Usually it's Tony's) on State St. in Madison rec'd calls from all over the world to deliver pizza to the protesters at the capital. They got calls from China & Egypt! Imagine!!!! There were 1,057 slices donated and they delivered over 300 pizzas.
Anyway, nothing too much is new EXCEPT I just read that Bill Clinton is going to Wisconsin to help the protesters as the unions helped Hillary! Now, I don't know if he is really going, it was not a definite but it sure would be like a shot in the arm if he goes! Also heard that the Dem. Senators have tried to call the Gov and he is not returning their calls. ALSO, yesterday in tweeting I asked a question why they can't just impeach him as they did here in CA and someone answered me and said that it can't be done before Jan. 2012. However, then I heard that they will start signing petition today to oust him and I asked about that and someone answered me by saying if they get enough signatures he can be impeached as they did Gov. Grey Davis in CA. Let's hope! They are talking about him as if he was a dictator (which he is!) He is a smug little bastard! They sent the tea partiers out yesterday or could have been Sat. but they were outnumbered by the protesters. Fox News has been reporting about all the violence but there really has been a very nice protest. Now, I understand that my watching MSNBC is like someone only watching Fox so you believe what they are saying. But I did watch CNN and they say the same thing as MSNBC, plus I can see what they are doing and it is beautiful. The children out there for their teachers is great! One young girl said "I hate school but I love my teachers"!
I don't know where Walker came from but I read today that he has done this before. Where or when I don't know. But this is going to be an epidemic and has already started in Ohio and possibly already in Indiana and is going to be in FL and I heard a total of l4 states.
I hope these people can hold out and not cave. If they do, what a damn waste!!!!!!!!!

Mouthing off:
I get e-mail from all different "liberal" organizations and the following is from a group called Alter-Net, w/an article written by Ezra Klein who is a journalist for the Washington Post, which is really a great newspaper. (not only my opinion) Like the NY Times & LA Times. The folowing is a part of an article he wrote which more or less explains what is going on in Wisconsin as we speak. At least as far as I know it is still going on, hopefully no one caved!
At the beginning of this year Wisconsin was on course to end 2011 w/budget surplus of $120 Million. Walker then signed 2 business tax breaks (article didn't say but I believe it was for Wal-Mart & MacDonalds - poor companies that really need tax breaks - right!) and a conservative health-care policy experiment that lowers overall tax revenue (among other things). New legislation was not offset & turned surplus into deficit. Not the 3 billion that he claims (that's my personal input). He then used the deficit HE had created as the justification for assaulting his state's public employees. He used a law cooked up by a right-wing advocacy group called American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) . Similar laws are on the table in Ohio & Indiana. Walker's bill would strip public employees of the right to bargain collectively for anything but higher pay and would cap the amount of wage hikes they might end up gaining in negotiations. His intentions are very clear. Before assuming office, Walker threatened to decertify the state's employee unions - until he discovered that the governor doesn't have that power. But, he's spinning the measure as something else. It's very involved and I can't go into it as I really don't understand it all but it's not good.
However, bottom line - it's about destroying the last bastion of unionism in the American economy - public employees!
Walker is carrying out the wishes of his corporate master, David Koch who calls the shots for Wisconsin Republicans. Walker is just one among many WI Reps supported by Koch Industries, run by brothers David & Charles and "American For Properity". The brothers are hell-bent on destroying the labor movements once and for all.
Now, I read recently that the Koch brothers had a "secret" meeting in Palm Springs , I believe it was last month. And I could be wrong (don't quote me!) but I think I remember that Antonin Scalia (he of the U.S. Supreme Court) was one of the attendees - which is clearly not where he should be. It was also attended, again I believe, by the House Majority Leader, Eric Cantor, who the Koch bros. have given tons of $$$$ to. It was a meeting planning how to "overthrow" the Democrats in 2012. Now, the Koch Co. is one of the largest (if not the largest) polluters of our environment and are HEAVILY AGAINST any mention of global warming. Of EPA, or anything that suggests we clean up the air we breath. If something is done to do this it can cost them roughly 40 Billion each year! Hopefully, someone is working on that. They are really dangerous because w/them and if the unions are destroyed as they are trying to do, it's bye bye Democratic party.
They had some kind of meeting in Youngstown, Ohio yesterday re what their evil Governor is doing but the state democratic senators can't sit out as the WI Dem. Sens are doing as it won't matter, there aren't enuf of them. Gov. Kasich is also going to try to destroy the unions. Same in Indiana and I believe in FL. Florida has a really crazy governor. I'll bet a lot of these people are really sorry they voted for them.
When Nixon was involved in Watergate, you couldn't find one person that voted for him. It was really funny - he won by a landslide if I remember correctly, yet nobody voted for him!
Well, when I say I didn't vote for him, you can definitely believe me. I DIDN'T VOTE FOR HIM!!!!

Mouthing off:
Well, I don't know what is happening in Madison, WI as of now. I do know the "Tea Partiers" arrived and hopefully, it is peaceful. Someone tweeted that they saw there was trouble there, someone's serving home-made cookies! It really was a nice, peaceful demonstration. I watch CNN and they said it was peaceful and if you watch FOX, they said it was NOT peaceful. But we know they lie.
Did you know that the union was born in Wisconsin? And, the lst unemployment was paid in Wisconsin? I love trivia.
Also, the some of the absent Wisconsin 14 Democrat Senators were interviewed last nite. If one - just one - gives up, it is all over. That is all they need for their quorum. This is more important than most people know. The message given to the governor was that they agree to the pay cut, the health care payment cut, the pension payment cut, but want to keep the collective bargaining but the governor said "uh uh"! He wants to destroy the union and should the unions be destroyed which they can be all over the 14 states having a problem, that could be the end of the Democratic party, as we know it. What I don't understand - this governor has been lying about the $3 billion deficit. How do they let him get away w/it? Can't he be impeached? Should they not try to throw him out before he gets too comfortable in his governor's chair? He has only been there 2 mos and already he is acting like a dictator. He is so smug! Makes me ill!
I head that there were about 40,000 people out there today. Last nite was very inspirational. It was freezing out - and they were singing and waving and it was really something. It is hard to get news on the weekend but maybe Meet The Press will have something on it tomorrow.

Mouthing off
Last nite the Ed Show, MSNBC, was reporting from Madison, WI and Ed Schultz was so good and emotional that it actually brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful people, orderly demonstration and meanwhile Fox News was reporting that there were riots and whatnot there! There were kids supporting their teachers, firefighters (who are not involved in this, I'll get to it later) were standing up w/these teachers, nurses, snow plow drivers, all union people. The fire fighters & police are not involved as they supported Gov Walker in his election. Now, this Gov. Walker is something else. I was right when I said there is no deficit. Actually, there was a surplus of $l40 mil when he took office 2 mos ago and now there is a deficit of about $120 mil as he gave tax cuts to his friends that supported him. (as I said before Wal-Mart and McDonalds and maybe more, I don't know. ) John Nichols who is a journalist from The Nation is a Wisconsinite and he has known Walker for 20 yrs. He said this isn't Walker, he is like a puppet with his strings pulled by big money. What is is - THEY WANT TO BREAK THE UNIONS!!! That is all it is! They explained it all last nite, the unions are what bring in Democrat votes. Harry Reid would never have won in NV. A year ago I would have bet money that he wouldn't win. They were suffering in NV more than many states - financially - and he was finished. The idiot that was running against him helped him win, also, but it was mainly the Culinary Union that actually got him elected. The Democrats need the unions. Now, there are l4 states involved in things like this. Ohio and FL, I know about. It's beginning in Ohio already. Now, in WI, there are l4 Democratic State Senators and they left town. They are now known as the Wisconsin l4 and they left the state. A few of them were interviewed yesterday "at an undisclosed location". They were great! The governor sent out police to find them and bring them back but they were out of state and they couldn't "drag" them back. Walker is furious about this. I don't know what is happening now but I believe Obama has stepped in but don't quote me on this. Sen. Durbin (D-IL) has sent a message, Nancy Pelosi "tweeted" Ed Schultz last nite w/a message, but as of last nite he hadn't heard from anyone else. All these big Dem politicos should back these people. They aren't asking for raises, they are not asking for anything. They just don't want their salaries cut, pensions, health care, they are all involved in this and it is a bogus deficit that the Gov is talking about. Here, in California, a few yrs back had a Dem. Gov. - Grey Davis and Darrel Issa , Rep Congressman, started something to throw Davis out and quicker than you can say The Terminator we had a new Governator - oops, I mean Governor! They need an Issa in Wisconsin! It was very moving seeing all these people and happy and singing, while Fox was talking about the violence at the demonstration! Paul Ryan (remember him, he gave the rebuttal speech at the State of the Union) said it was like Madison was turning into Cairo. Did that mean that Walker was like Mubarak????? I don't know what is happening now, as I said before, but I sure will try to find out.
BTW, I saw something interesting today. Mark Ekstrum, a veterana fire fighter in Tucson, refused to go out on the call for the shooting as "his polical views" were different than his co-workers. WHAT??????????????????????? He retired 2 days later. His insubordination may have delayed his units response because they had to stop at another station to p/u a replacement for him. His actions caused confusion & delay. His team was specially trained for large medical emergencies. He is a 28 yr veteran. But it is confusing - he said he voted for Giffords. I don't understand it but I will see if I can find out something else about him.

Mouthing off
I was going to wait until tomorrow re Wisconsin, as Ed Schultz from the MSNBC The Ed Show is reporting from Madison as is the reporter from The Nation magazine. But I will start now. lst of all, this deficit - 6 Bil or something like that - is bullshit! He's lying about this. There may be a deficit - maybe there was somewhat of a deficit when he took office 2 mos ago. But a lot of it is due to him taking care of the people that gave him $$$$ to elect him, businesses - some of which aren't even in the state anymore. This guy is bad news. We aren't hearing from Obama (he did say something today that Walker is trying to take down the unions, something like that), or the big shot Dems in D.C. However, the state Democrats left town. I believe l4 of them. Therefore, the vote for the bill can't be taken as they need these people. Gov sent for them to be brought back but they left the state! Once they are over the stateline they can't "drag" them back. Good for them. It's their way of helping and help is needed. Oh, yes, he is giving tax breaks to McDonalds & Wal-Mart who helped him in his election. He wants to cut pay benefits , wants them to pay l/2 of their pension money. Cutting salary. He says either that or laying off 5,500 people here and 5,500 there. He is threatening them. He should look to his neighbor, Minnesota (Dem Gov) who, to help his deficit, raised the tax on the top 5% in MN and will get 3 Billion from it.
If that had been done in Dec. during the "lame duck" session, there wouldn't be all this talk about cutting here and cutting there. A former governor of N.M. (Rep) Gary Johnson was at the C-Pac meeting last weekend and they have their vote for Pres. and Ron Paul came in lst. Johnson tied 3rd (can't remember with who and who cares!) By the way, Palin came in at 3%, last - I believe. Well, this Johnson wants to get rid of S.S., Medicare & Medicaid. He kept talking about when FDR started S.S. people weren't living as long as they are now. I have a perfect solution - they could kill us! Everyone over 65!
It's making me sick! That's all they all know - Social Security!
Everytime they mention the word "entitlements" - sounds better than wasting time saying Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid! Social Security as I have said before and will say again and again and again - does NOT ADD TO THE DEFICIT!!!

Mouthing off:
Forgot something. While I was "tweeting" I was reminded of something almost laughable but sad, really sad. One of the politicos in South Dakota wants to pass a law that killing an abortion doctor should be added to the justifiable killing law.
GET OUT OF HERE!!!!!! That would be that the baby is defending itself!!!!! Everyday we hear about crazies and this one goes at the top of the list!
Chris Matthews says the Republican party is getting like the John Birch Society. Getting? It is!!!!

Before I get to Wisconsin, I have to tell you the most bizarre think I saw on TV. In Mississippi, the group Sons of the Civil War or something like that or Decendents of the C.W. or whatever, want to put General Nathan Bedford Forrest on the new license plate. Now, General Forrest, was a Civil War General, true. However, he was also the lst Grand Wizard (or whatever the hell they called them) of the Klu Klux Klan! Now, the Governor Haley Bourbar - who will be a contender for the President (along w/about 50 of his buddies) feels he has to keep out of this and won't tell them not to do this. Of course, the NAACP is against this and will fight this, rightly so. I cannot believe this. First of all, they lost the war! 2nd, they seceded from the United States and at the last count, I believe MS is still a part of the United States. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous! WHY SHOULD THEY HONOR HIM?????? I hate the south, I really do. Maybe stupid is too strong a word, but I have to use it. THEY ARE STUPID!!!!!
Well, let's go North, shall we? New young (he looks 12!) governor, Scott Walker, is getting carried away w/the job. He wants to deduct I believe, either 8 or 9% more from the salaries of state workers, teachers, etc. etc. They are not making a hell of a lot of money as it is. They had a very peaceful demonstration yesterday (and it will continue) about l5,000 people came and I believe they were bussed in. Very peaceful and of course, Gov. Walker called out the National Guard! I don't know if he will back down from this. He inherited the state w/a big deficit and wants to take it from the middle class. Meanwhile, he says that Wisconsin is an industrial state and they have taken business from WI and sent it out of the country , oursourcing that is. Now, whose fault is that? It's the Republicans that do that. And when asked about the tax cuts for the rich the WI State Senator that was being questioned, said that the rich people are leaving the state and moving to TX or FL. ALL THE RICH PEOPLE? Whatever happens, I hope that this governor backs down as it is growing - New Rep Gov in Ohio, Casich. I really can't stand him, he used to be w/Fox News (or as Keith Olbermann dubbed them - Fox Noise) and I didn't like him there and I like him even less now he is Ohio Governor. N.J. Governor Chris Christie (he's the one that was on vacation in Disneyworld when his state was paralyzed by blizzards) he is cutting pensions for the Fire Fighters. He is doing a lot more, like Walker, but I am not sure exactly what. Add him to the list of those running for President in 2012. There won't be a stage big enough for them to have a debate!
Now the big talk is the budget and if I hear anything more about social security I will scream! Social Security has 2.6 trillion, it is not causing any problem, has nothing to do w/the deficit but everyone is talking about cutting it, including Obama. Right now I am very mad at him and going to send him an e-mail today. I am very disappointed. If I wanted a Republic President I would have voted for McCain. It is like he is trying to please the Republicans and he can't. He cannot please them no matter what he does as long as he is in office.
And that's that. Well, that's it for now.
Oh yes, Limbaugh! Yesterday he said that in 2012 we can "pull an Egypt" on Obama! OMG!!!!! I cannot stand that man!

Mouthing off:
I believe I spoke about Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas before. About his wife working for the Heritage Foundation and earning $700,000, etc. etc. Well, now that the Republicans are trying (and will probably win this) to repeal the Health Care Plan - which will make 30 million American insurance-less again, it will have to - most likely - go to the Supreme Court. I may have written about this already, also. However, Clarence Thomas must recuse himself. I signed a petition today to make him recuse himself as he should. His wife, working for the Heritage Foundation, is reason for him to recuse himself as the Heritage Foundation is against this Health Care plan. This whole thing makes me ill!!!!! I always say that - but it's true!
I have to tell you - I "tweeted" Pres. Obama this a.m. How about that? He tweeted that he will be going over the new budget this week and I tweeted back that I hope it doesn't mean cutting any of the "entitlements". They are using that word lately, aka Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid and something else. I must say here - if I repeat myself please forgive me, I can't remember all I write about and I really can't stand the thought of going back and reading it all.
Just read today that Congresswoman Gabby Giffords was planning to run for the Senate seat that Republican Kyls was going to vacate. However, she never did anything about it as she wasn't sure he was going to vacate the seat but he is, just announced it. As fast as she is healing, it may be just too much for her, physically, to handle. However, I read that there is a very good Democrat that will most like run and that would be great to have a Democrat at Sen in Red Arizona!!!!
Well, it is Sunday and not much happening. So I will sign off now.

Mouthing off:
Well, it was amazing! The celebrating was awesome! Hundreds of thousand in Liberation square. There were thousand of doctors in white coats, thousand of lawyers, labor was represented, they came from all over. They really made history. Mubarak is still in Egypt. They can charge him with all kinds of stuff if he stays in the country. Why he would stay in the country is beyond me. I heard that they had the worst medical care in Egypt. That is probably why Mubarak was going to go to Germany to see his doctor! Well, nobody - including the USA knows what is going to happen. The military is in charge, they are dumping the Parliament and everyone that was w/Mubarak. Saw a shot of Ahmadinejad in Iran , celebrating. If he is celebrating we all have to worry. Especially Israel. They have always said that Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East. Well, now maybe Egypt will be the 2nd democracy in the Middle East. Glen Beck said this will spread all over the Middle East, and the Muslim Brotherhood will take over. He is Mr. Doom. He is inciting the crazies that watch his show. He won't stop until - God forbid - something terrible happens.
The CPAC is meeting, or rather was meeting, I think it ended last nite. That is the Conservative Political Action Committee.
Sarah Palin couldn't make it - she was busy making money instead and someone said something and she really told him off. You cannot say one word about her without her getting unglued! They always pick someone they feel will get the Republican nomination and they always pick wrong. I heard that most likely they will pick Ron Paul. And who cares!!!!
One of their speakers was Donald Trump who everyone is saying will run for Prez. OMG!!!! Well, I hope he does! I couldn't care less! Another speaker was Wayne La Pierre. (I think his lst name is Wayne) He is either head of or something or other for the NRA. He actually looks evil! They played a tape of Lawrence O'Donnell's show on MSNBC . Lawrence is very anti-gun. Lawrence was talking about the law that expired I think 5 yrs ago or so - I know it was during Bush's term - that outlawed 30 cal. clips. When it ran out, they never renewed it. Had they renewed it, this shooter from Tucson would never had killed and wounded as many as he did. He would have had a 10 cal. clip and when he ran out would have had to re-load it as he did w/the 30 cal. clip. NRA said that (I believe I spoke about this before) people need the 30 cal. clip as much as the police do. WHAT?????????????? After showing that on Lawrence's show, he spoke so eloquently against that and it was really something. I don't remember if I ever spoke about what Lawrence has accomplished so far in his life, aside from book writing, he wrote for the TV show The West Wing, and he was a member of the Clinto Administration. He has done so much more that I don't even know about and he speaks so beautifully. Quite a guy! He used to be on later but he took over Keith Olbermann's spot at 5 p.m. Pacific time. Now, when Olbermann starts on Current TV he will be on at the same time. Fortunately, we have DVD so I don't really miss too much.
Well, that is it for now. See ya!

Well, it has happened! Mubarak is gone! He resigned & turned the power over to the military. 250,000 Egyptians celebrating in Tahrir (translated from Egyptian means Liberation) Square. El Baradei said it was the happiest day of his life. They made history. I was thinking that if we did that in D.C. 10 yrs ago, it would be Cheney taking over and that would be a lose-lose situation! What will happen now, no one knows but I will be watching. It was amazing! They were there all nite and today is Friday, which is a religious day for Muslims. They go to pray at noon, I believe, and then back to Liberation Square. They had tents set up and people serving food, water, juice, etc. It was something to see. When I stopped watching it was about 5 a.m. in Cairo and what they did, some of them, was stay for a couple of days, go home, rest, come back. They say that it is now for the young people. They were mostly young. Not too many old people could demonstrate that long. As I said, it was amazing!!!! They say it is highly unlikely that the Muslim Brotherhood will take over, but they most likely will have a say in some matters. Probably the lst thing will be the 30 yr. peace treaty w/Israel. Even the Egyptians don't like that. They do not want war w/Israel but they would like a "cooler peace" as, let's face it, they really do not like Jews. It can be bad for Israel and it can be bad for us. We just have to wait and see.

Breaking News: I said earlier that Mubarak was leaving but evidently he is not. There is absolute chaos in Tahrir Square right now. It is 1:30 a.m. there at this time. It looks really bad. Nobel Prize winner El Baradei tweeted "Egypt will
explode". Who knows what will happen now.

I'M BAAAAAAACK! (was a line was an old Stephen King novel (actually the lst Stephen King I ever read) "The Shining".
Now, if you have a queasy stomach please close your eyes and don't read my next story. Well, not so much a story but a couple of sentences. Ready?
How about a Bush/Cheney running for office of Pres. & VP in 2012 hit you? That's Jeb Bush & Liz Cheney!!!!!!!! Fairly makes me want to heave! Do anybody think this country is ready for another Bush or Cheney in this century? OMG!!!!!
Speaking of Jeb, the new FL Rep "tea partier" gov is really something else! The laws he wants to pass are right out of Mein Kampf! And he looks like he spent some time in Auschwitz. I thank God that I live in an all blue state!!!!!!
The Reps spent quite a bit of time this week on abortion. Guess that is the most important thing to talk about in this day and age. Not unemployment, not $$$ ending for what they call the 99ers (people on unemployment the past 5 months), not health care, not economy. They were talking about insurance not covering women for abortions including private insurance that you pay for!!!! Give me a break!! I really can't take much more.
They were talking about Fox News and the way they all lie and people watch and believe them. This incites people. This makes the crazies even crazier! This gets people killed.
I keep seeing the ad on TV to visit Arizona. Are you kidding?
Do I want to get shot? Nosiree! Do I want to be stopped on the street asking for my citizenship papers? Nosiree! No, I know that won't happen, the papers part I mean. Who knows if I would get shot or not? The people that went to meet Congresswoman Gabby Giffords didn't know they were going to be shot and some killed. She, by the way, is talking and recovering at remarkable speed.
Oh well, time to get ready for the news. Today is the day that the Republican House of Representatives unveil their big plan for cutting! They keep saying cutting entitlements - aka Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid. I guess no Republicans need social security or medicare or medicaid. Wow, I just had a great thought!!!!! I am going to become a Republican!!!!!!!

BTW, I have a new follower on Twitter and it is Keith Olbermann, the man himself!!!!! Not by his name, can't remember the name offhand but it's something I read about his new show on Current TV - which we get , btw!
Saw the 2nd part of the Obama-O'Reilly interview (which aired on O'Reilly's program, I think) and total interruptions came to 72!!!! Can you imagine? Obama never finished a sentence. It was unbelievable! The worst interview you ever want to see! Terrible!
Anyway, up to date: I believe Mubarak is leaving office tonite. Yesterday, they had the biggest crowd at Tahrir Sq. 250,000
people, really something and I believe that the threat of them next gathering at his palace (I saw pictures - really a palace! Well, he has 70 billion dollars!) made him make this decision and Omar Suleiman is going to take over, his v.p. How good this is, who knows and for how long, who knows! But they did it! These poor people (and they are poor!) really accomplished something and I think it is great! As far as the Muslim Brotherhood is concerned, they have always been there, it's not like it is something new and chances of them taking over is really not likely. Remember - you heard it here!!!!!
Yesterday on "The Last Word", Lawrence O'Donnell's show , he interviews Cong. Steve King who is a real idiot. Really stupid, who sat there w/his stupid face almost saying "Duh"!
The day before a group of Iowans (maybe 20 or so) were interviews about Obama. Questioned - do you believe he is a Muslim? GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!! Most of them do and who cares if they do? They are in Iowa, for heaven's sake. Let me interject something here - many years ago our son went to school at Western Illinois which is across the river from Iowa, Keokuk (did I spell that right?) no less. For many years, when my husband was transferred to different cities I always said
"if he is transferred to Keokuk, Iowa, I would have to go with him", well, after that trip, I changed my tune. We stayed over nite after dropping Dan off (He was called Danny, then!) and we stayed in a motel in Keokuk. While my husband took a nap I went down to a little diner by the motel, very nice and clean, and ordered a slice of chocolate cream pie for myself (Of course!) and a slice of whatever for my husband, to go. I saw the waitress take the chocolate cream pie and put it in the microwave (yes, they had them in those days) and I was aghast! I called out to her, and said "Did you put that in the microwave" and she said yes and I said "you NEVER PUT CHOCOLATE CREAM PIE IN THE MICROWAVE" - sure shook her up! Well, gives you an example of Iowa. Back to Lawrence and Rep. King. Lawrence said to him - "Are you a Christian?" and he said yes, and Lawrence asked him "Do you carry a card saying you are a Christian" and King said, uh, no. Lawrence kept on and on and King said that last year Obama gave a speech in Cairo. Oh, well, that's why they think he is Muslin! Uh, duh? This is what these people think . They don't care about deficit (I'm sure most of them don't even know what deficit means! Or care!) WE HAVE A BLACK PRESIDENT! GET USED TO IT!!!!!!! I personally believe it is all racism! And you can't prove I'm wrong!!!!!
I have a lot more to say but can't do it now! I haven't even had my breakfast!!!!
Mouthing off: Actually, I saw this a.m. that I lost one of my Twitter followers - don't know which one but since I don't know any of the names by heart (except my son, of course) it doesn't matter. Why did I lose one? Considering the group that I twitter w/are all professionals and I see almost all of them on tv, some have radio shows, some are journalists and are guests on tv, all but lowly me! But, who cares.
Keith Olbermann, formerly of MSNBC, who is actually the reason that I watch MSNBC, has a new job and that is Chief New Officer of Current TV (hope I get it on my tv) which was founded in part by Al Gore. Started in 2005 and is now also in U.K. , Italy & So. Africa. He will also receive equity in the station and hopefully it will work out. Won't be until later in the year. Will check today if we get it.
Saw something very interesting yesterday which kind of explains why there are no jobs here and the economy is so bad
(bad for the middle class, anyhow. The super rich are getting richer and richer as we speak) Caterpiller Co. - big company - has more than quadrupeled their income because of a surge in demand overseas. They are located in Peoria, IL. In 2010, they hired 19,000 new people but only 7,500 in US. They are going to build 8 new facilities on only 3 in US. They get our tax break and do more of their business overseas. This is what is happening.
We are w/Time-Warner cable. When you call for a service call you speak w/someone usually in Colorado, which is ok. But sometimes you call and get someone w/an accent. One day I couldn't understand a word she said and I asked her where she was and she said "Aryentina" (that's how it is pronounced) and I asked to speak w/someone that spoke English. There is a movie w/Albert Brooks - not new and I can't remember the name but he has to go to India on business and he is in India, one of the big cities, and walking in a hallway in an office building and you can see into the office he is passing and a bunch of ladies are on phones, that's all it is - phones. And you hear someone say "You have reached the White House. How may I direct your call". It was very funny - however, it is also sad. Most of the companies you can, say, for instance, Expedia, I think it is for making reservations for vacation or whatever, I remember when they moved their offices to India. It really makes me sick. I realize they do it so they can pay them peanuts and can't do it here. However, there are many small towns here that do not cost as much to live in as say, NYC or L.A. and they can set up in these small towns and pay minimum wage which would be better than these people being out of work as there are no jobs in their town. Maybe I don't fully understand, well there is no maybe - I don' t fully understand but it still bothers me. And the Republicans never address this situation. EVER!!!! Where are the jobs, Mr. Boehner? They are only worried about abortions, same sex marriage, those are really important issues! GIVE ME A BREAK!! How about this one - some idiot congressman in - I believe - the south (of course!) came up w/this one - a woman that is raped should not be called a victim - she should be called an "accuser". Can you believe this. They spoke about the reason (if there really is one) but I couldn't listen. And what about Law & Order SVU (Special Victims Unit for those of you who don't watch) They will have to change their name to Special Accusers Unit (SAU) OMG!!!!!!!!
Pres. Obama spoke to the Chamber of Commerce yesterday. He said he was just trying to be neighborly, so he walked over from across the street. Said he guessed that when they moved in (the Obamas) they should have come over w/a fruit cake!
He does have a sense of humor. They have trillions of dollars they are just sitting on and could create jobs which is what he was asking but I think they just want to see him out of office and that's that! We shall see if they do anything except give $$$$ to Republicans that are running for office. Speaking of which, 4 Dem. Senators are going to be most likely breaking w/the White House on several things - one of which is Health Insurance - as they are up for re-election in 2 yrs, and are in Red States and they don't want to lose their jobs. One of them in Claire McCaskil from Missouri and I remember when she won and it was by the skin of her teeth! Very important for these people to win, I think 22 (it was 21 but one or two retired) Dem. Senators are up for re-election and only ll Republicans (or maybe 10, not sure) which means there is a real chance the Dems can lose the Senate, also. Bad!
Speaking of bad, George Bush, remember him? Had a speaking engagement (he gets paid big bucks for these speaking engagements) in Switzerland and they cancelled him as they found out he is a criminal! Yes, he really is! He admitted to oking waterboarding and all other kinds of torture and he is in trouble. Well, there went his paid vacation!!!!!!
By the way, Pres. Obama was interviewed by Bill O'Reilly, he of Fox News, prior to Superbowl game. Not a long interview.
However, O'Reilly interupted Obama 43 times! 43 TIMES!!!!!
Obama never finished a sentence and it was a terrible interview! Can you imagine being interupted 43 times!!!!!
I will leave you with that image.

Mouthing off:
Mouthing off: By the way - another little bit of trivia - I have more followers in Twitter than I do here and only one of them I know (my son)! How about that?????
Mouthing off:
Mouthing off: AOL has bought Huffington Post. For those of you that don't know of Huffington Post you should really go into their website. Very interesting. Arianna Huffington will still run the site and they say everything will still stay the same. I wonder! From the time I have been on AOL I have always had the feeling that it is conservative and the Huffington Post is anything but.
I do not know what is happening in Egypt right now, altho they are still in Tahrir Square and I saw something that showed a human chain. Interesting! Will know more later.
Iran - 3 U.S. hikers go on trial in Iran. One of them, Sarah Shourd, was released in Sept. 2010 on $500,000 bail after l3 mos. in prison. The trial will include her even tho' she is not there. Josh Fattal & Shane Bauer's lawyer was not allowed to see them before trial. The United States has repeatedly asked for their release and been rejected. There is absolutely no basis for the trial. If they are convicted, they could face death sentences. I just don't understand people from other countries such as ours, going there unless they, of course, were working and went hiking on the weekend or whatever. I don't know the details but I can absolutely assure you that they were not spies, were doing nothing except hiking as they say. But that is Iran. And, as you well know, they do hate Americans.
Did not watch the game at all. Usually we watch a little bit and I did want to see The Black Eyed Peas & Fergie but didn't. I did hear, tho, that the Steelers played very badly and see, now the G.B. Packers do have 4 trophies. They did win, didn't they???????

Mouthing off:
Just a short bit of trivia today. The Green Bay Packers are the only major team that is in a small, small town. Green Bay is a very small town. In 1979, January to be exact, my husband was offered a job in Green Bay. We lived in Chicago area at the time. We took a drive out there for the weekend. It was January, one of the coldest ever. We had had a very big snowstorm the previous December. So you can imagine how it was in Green Bay. (this, by the way, has nothing to do w/what I was going to tell you) The motel we stayed at was by a sausage factory and I can't tell you how bad the smell was. It permeated everything. So w/the smell and the ice and snow and cold, we said "No way" . Friends of ours thought it would be great to live in G.B. with all the outdoor sports, fishing, ice skating, hunting (?) etc. etc. Really, we are not the outdoor type. Anyhow, back to my story. The Green Bay Packers got their name from a packing company who, in 1919, gave the team $500 to buy uniforms providing they would name them after them - ergo - Green Bay Packers! Now, thru the yrs the team could hardly exist as there wasn't enough money for a major team in the town of Green Bay. Wasn't like the Bears or the '9ers' (as they call the S.F. 49ers) or the Redskins. Green Bay is a very, very tiny town. So, in late 1967 they went public and sold off stock. No one person can own more than another and it is a non-profit organization. They just own a chanpion football which I think won 3 super bowls (and maybe 4, who knows). Is that not interesting???????? No????????????

Mouthing off
Well, just a little added bit of info. Mubarak is not leaving until Sept. Well, we'll see about that! President Mubarak is worth 70 billion dollars!!!!! His family has homes in N.Y., Beverly Hills, Paris, Dubai, London, and I think 2 more. $$$ is stashed away in Europe. Meanwhile, 40% of Egyptians live on approximately $2,070.00 a year! Also, meanwhile, WE (that is the USA) give Egypt $1.3 billion military aid annually. We have given $28 billion since 1975. Now, does something seem off here? Like unbalanced? These are things we would never know about had this uprising not have happened. Tahrir Square will become (eventually) a really big tourist spot. It is tremendous, I forgot how big they said it was, but 100,000 people were in it today having a peaceful demonstration. It is very sad when you think about it. Of course, it is sad when you see our people living on the streets, also. Well, I will call it a day.
Mouthing off: Mouthing off:
Mouthing off: Just a short note: it is l a.m. in Cairo and Mubarak has not left. It has been a peaceful demonstration and hundreds of thousands pro-Democratic people there. Mubarak says if he leaves now, it will turn into chaos! He said that yesterday, also, and someone tweeted: "Hoz, look out your window! It's chaos!!!!" Today was to be the day. In fact, they really expected rioting but so far, as far as I know, it has been peaceful and the journalists have their cameras on.
Mouthing off:
Well, I started something and scrolled down to see if I had written it before and ended up losing what I just typed. So much is happening in this world that it is hard to keep up. Last year the "Tea Partiers" were screaming "I want my country back" - well, now I am screaming "I want my country back". I don't remember this country being so screwed up and so partisan or maybe I just never paid attention before. No, it is bad now! Well, we will come back to this. Now, on to Egypt!
I don't know what is happening right now - I believe Mubarak will definitely be vacating his gorgeous palace today or tonite. It started out peaceful but yesterday and the day before was very bad. Yesterday they stopped all journalists from filming anything, it was like something was going to happen and they didn't want any pictures taken. Some journalists as of last nite were missing. They were calling in by phone but no pictures. Katie Couris and Christiane Amanpour's cars were attacked. All the "big guns" from the news were there. Heard from a photojournalist, don't know what country he was from, spoke English w/o accent, and he could have lost his life. He was rescued by some anti-Mubarak Egyptians who literally saved his life. It was the pro-Mubarak people that wouldn't let the journalists film. Now, the ones that were doing the real damage were goons hired by Mubarak. He is a real piece of work. His palace, where they were going to gather today, is not in Cairo, but in the suburbs and they have to go past shopping areas and lovely suburban areas, gated homes w/palm trees & swimming pools. Now - if I repeat myself from other days, please forgive me. I cannot scroll down as I already did that and lost the whole post. Someone called from TX, I believe, called NBC and said that his mother lives in Cairo (she is an American but probably also an Egyptian) , she is 76 (I think) and her building is being attacked, her windows were broken, and she has to get out. NBC sent over some of their news people and they got the woman out. Unbelievable!!!!! There are no more planes leaving Cairo for the USA as of today. The last ones left yesterday and they were not free rides! It cost them $1700 each. There was a couple from Illinois who were in Cairo on vacation and on the way to Cypress and had to leave earlier than planned as it cost they $3400 for the 2 of them. The Mubarak goons came in on horses and camels and were wieldling bats or something like bats and hitting people and it was really bad. The last I heard, Mubarak was going to leave and leave his new VP in charge, Suleiman. Now, I heard - don't quote me - but I am pretty sure it was Suleiman they were talking about - has quite an impressive background. He had been w/the CIA and the CIA is not always on the up and up, as we know. They had this prisoner ((I don't remember his name, but they showed him on TV) this was right after 9/11 and they locked him in a case it said, A CASE! For 80 hrs, beat him constantly, so he made up something (I knew I left something out - Suleiman was involved w/this) just to get them to stop beating him. He said that Saddam Hussein was involved w/Al Queda. This report made its way to Colin Powell, the then Secy of State to George, and Colin Powell reported it to the UN and then we attacked Iraq. That is one of the reasons. In Rumsfeld's new book (in which he does lie) he states that right after 9/11 George said "we have to attack Iraq. Of course, that is only one of the stories of why we went into Iraq. Very good movie "The Green Zone" w/Matt Damon, about looking for WMD's in Iraq. Especially the part where they tell us that they knew there were no WMD's in Iraq! Well, that's another story. Back to Egypt. Yesterday, Glen Beck (what an animal!) said that the whole world will be controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood. He had a map and showed each country. It was almost comical - if he wasn't such a sick person, it woud have been comical. His twin, Rush Limbaugh, was laughing about the journalists running into so much trouble and being attacked until he heard that one of the Fox people was beaten and is in hospital in Cairo, then he didn't laugh so much. I do not think the Muslim Brotherhood will come into Egypt - the people basically are decent - in fact, there is (under normal times) very little crime in Egypt - doors are left open, very peaceful. They just want democracy, they want jobs (40% unemployment) and they want to live and be able to feed their families. Saw something interesting but can't really explain it - too involved for me but Wall St actually controls the price of food and the food in the Middle East (food like wheat, etc.) has gone up quite a bit and that is because of Wall St. Sounds crazy but you can believe it! I was in Twitter this a.m.and no one is talking about Cairo. I don't know why. I go into MSNBC on Twitter, people you see on TV go in their (except me, of course) It is - right now - it is 9 p.m. in Cairo so something must have happened. Will try to keep up.
Have you ever heard of the Koch brothers? They are billionaires, the 2nd largest energy & oil co. in the USA (or maybe the world) They are the biggest polluters in the country and they, of course, are against climate control, or anything that would clean up the air. They give millions and millions (an unbelievable amount) to the Reps. I just found out that their father is the founder of the John Birch Society. Need I say more? Lots more to talk about but will try to come back later and will see what is happening in the Middle East!
Oh, the pressure!!!!!!!!!

Mouthing off
Mouthing off: Well, so much is going on I don't know where to begin. lst of all, I saw in Twitter that the demonstration in Cairo is going along w/out violence, it is peaceful so far. It is right now 8:30 a.m. in Egypt and it will be going on all day I imagine. I will check on it later. Things I didn't know . Mubarak was v.p. w/Sadat. When Sadat was murdered 30 yrs ago, Mubarak took over and NEVER had a v.p. himself until this past weekend. His picture is plastered on buildings just the same way Saddam's was. Usual sign of a dictator! He is bad news. However, we have been friends w/him for 30 yrs. If the Muslim Brotherhood takes over (which I don't think the people want) it means the end of the peace treat w/Israel, which has been in effect since Anwar Sadat signed it. That could be bad. Also, it means that it will escalate - next will be Jordan, then the rest. I can't even begin to imagine how bad it will be. Egypt wants us to stay out of their business which is right, it is not our business. They want to elect their own leaders, which is also right. They want us to stop supporting Mubarak, which is probably also right. 40% of the people are out of work, they are very poor and I saw something on the news - just a mention - they didn't go into the story, but I think it will be on today - that Wall St. has something to do w/the prices raising on the food in Egypt. Sounds crazy, doesn't it? Well, we shall see.
Palin - had a secret dinner (I think it was dinner) meeting w/200 "big game hunters" at $1000 bucks a throw! No media allowed but one reporter snuck in and she gave a speech. OMG - how the hell could they eat dinner and listen to her screeching voice? She told them that Obama wants to take their guns away! Now, I have mentioned (I think) that Palin is a wealth of misinformation. I take that back. She doesn't report misinformation - she lies! She is a blatant liar! She knows that isn't true but she just lies!!!!! She also said, I believe on Fox, that she is glad that with what is going on in Cairo (actually it's in Egypt but to her it's only happening in Cairo) they can't blame her for it. She's glad with what is happening in Cairo????? Is she crazy? Yes, she is! She also said at that dinner (you see, everything is about her) that a man, I think in Nevada, (I did hear about this) "saw a Palin on Dancing w/the Stars and got so upset he shot his Panasonic w/a rifle (or pistol, or whatever)." She then said "if guns are outlawed, he would have to attack his tv set w/a butterknife". Isn't that funny! Ha!Ha!Ha! I am rolling over w/laughter! The commentator said she will probably use that joke w/her campaign speeches!
Health Care: Yesterday a FL judge ruled against the new Health Care Bill and said it was unconstitutional. Can you believe that? The Republicans were dancing in the streets!
(the sts in DC are very icy from the snow and cold - maybe someone slipped on the ice when they were dancing!!!)
Now, the Administration will definitely appeal. It's sad. All these people who got this insurance will lose it. If it goes to the Supreme Court, it can be a 4-4 vote and then Justice Kennedy whom I believe is a Republican will have to give the deciding vote and we know how he will vote!
Speaking of insurance, there is a man named Flanagan (can't remember his lst name) whose wife paid their insurance bill evidently on line and I can't remember exactly the amount but it was something like $387.89 and she typed $387.87 , put a 7 in place of the 9 and because it was 2 cents short, they cancelled their insurance. Now, Mr. Flanagan was set to have a biopsy, he needs a stem cell transplant to live, and he had to cancel the biopsy appt. They spoke to the insurance co. who was very nice but they said they had no choice but to cancel. Now we all know it wasn't about the 2 lousy cents. They didn't want to pay all the money that the procedure cost! Now, the CEO of this co. made over $100 million last year! Doesn't surprise me! Well, Mr. & Mrs. Flanagan went to the media and made a big stink about it and the insurance was reinstated and Mr. Flanagan had his biopsy and is going to have the stem cell transplant in 2 wks. Can you believe this!!!!! This must happen to a lot of people who don't do anything about it and just let it go.
Rush Limbaugh - all he is missing is an apple in his mouth -
on his program - spoke gibberish - pretending it was Chinese - actually it sounded more like a bad imitation of Sessue Hiakowa (spelled it wrong!). California State Senator Leeland Lee was upset and asked Limbaugh (Ed Schultz of MSNBC calls him "The Drugster" as he is a druggie) to apologize and of course, Limbaugh won't and since that time Sen. Lee has been getting death threats and terrible disgusting insulting letters, they showed them on TV - blotting out the trash words - and I can't understand how the FCC lets this go on. Anyone else would be reprimanded or fired or whatever but Limbaugh because he has such a big following gets away w/murder! Considering what happened to Gabby Giffords, who knows what could happen anymore?
I have so much more but am tired. So that is it for the day. Have a good one!!!!!!
