Mouthing off

Everything is Egypt now. It was unbelievable. Don't know why it was unbelievable, because most likely it is going to happen and happen and happen!!!! They got their idea from Tunisia. Evidently Mubarak is a dictator, didn't realize he has been in since Sadat was murdered in 1981. Actually, I thought he was murdered before '81 but guess not. Mubarak is 82 yrs old, looks fantastic! Also, he wants his son to take over when he is finished, which may be right now. He is not leaving, he says. The pres. of Tunisia had to leave the country. The young people in Egypt - 40% are out of work and they are hungry, and tired of it all. The last flight to Cairo is going out today (maybe) so if you have plans, forget them!
Bill Maher had a great show last nite. He had 2 Republicans who weren't too bad but all they talk about is getting rid of Social Security & Medicare. Social Security has 2.6 trillion dollars and evidently Wall St's mouths are watering just thinking about all those trillions! They want it badly and the Repubs want to give it to them. Well, in 2012, if the Senate goes to the GOP, and (heaven forbid!) the presidency also does, then it's bye bye to S.S. & Medicare, Health Care, Education, you name it!!!!!! BUT the top 2% of this country will still have their tax breaks plus more tax breaks! Bernie Sanders (I-VT) I think he's from Vermont, but could be R.I.
He said that if the s.s. vote ever came up in the Senate there would be 99 votes to keep it and 1 vote not to, and that would be Jim DeMint - Rep. in on of the Carolinas, as I have said before, I can't tell them apart and who cares! He's a tea partier and evidently the tea partiers are all very rich! (Right!)
Sarah Palin gave a little rebuttal speech on Fox the other nite. She said - and I quote "That was a WTF moment". Give me a break! And THAT wants to be President of this country! She was talking about Obama's speech re Sputnik. She said that altho we lost the race to the moon and Russia won (wrong! We won!) and it was so expensive for Russia that they went broke and that was the end of the USSR. (wrong) Sputnik evidently was in the 50's and the Soviet Union went kaput in the 90's. I don't know who is dumber - Palin or Bachmann. Great title for a movie starring Palin & Bachmann - "Dumb & Dumber". Oh, I think it's been used before! Too bad!
Laura Ingraham was unhappy at what Megan McCain said about Palin so she said that Megan McCain is the poor man's Ronald Reagan. You know what? They are all crazy!!!!!!

Mouthing off: Ok, so Paul Ryan didn't give his "Road Map" speech. By the way, when he lst did the R.M. even the Republicans grimmaced! Prior to speaking he was warned not to mention Social Security or Medicare! But his R.M. was (& is) exactly as I said it.
Something I don't understand. As the SOTU Tues. nite, 3 very prominent Republican Supreme Court Judges went missing! Why isn't anyone talking about it. Alito, Clarence Thomas & Antonin Scalia. I thought it was a slap in Obama's face! Well, Clarence Thomas - found out that his wife had worked for the Heritage Foundation for 5 yrs and earned $700,000. However, when he filled out the form (they have to report other income) he never put that down. It just came to light that she was working and it wasn't on his records. He said he didn't know what that meant on the form. COME ON!!!!!! He's a Supreme Court Judge, for God's sake!!!!!!! Now, sometimes I fill out forms and am confused but I am NOT A SUPREME COURT JUDGE!!!!!! That is basically a criminal act but nothing will be done about it. Now my favorite, Scalia. He gave a talk to a group in private, a group that crazy Michelle Bachmann is working with. Supposedly teaching the Constitution. Nobody knows what it was about as the press was not allowed in. (I will get back to Bachmann) This was possibly a "Tea Party" group, definitely Republicans. These judges are supposed to be impartial. (Ha!Ha!Ha!) Couple of yrs back Scalia, who is buddy-buddy w/Cheney, went bird hunting or whatever w/him, right while he had a case in front of him involving Cheney and surprise! surprise! surprise! Cheney was found innocent of all charges! These are things that Supreme Court Judges are not allowed to do. But nothing happened to Scalia and nothing will happen regarding his private meeting w/crazy Bachmann. Now, at the SOTU speech, Supreme Court Judge Ruth Bader Ginsberg did not look well. She really is not well and lost her husband not long ago and most likely will retire. I certainly hope she decides to retire during the next 2 yrs so Obama can appoint maybe at least a centrist rather than a far right Judge to appease the masses.
Now, Bachmann. She gave her own response to the SOTU, and she, if you don't know now, is a wealth of misinformation. I hate to say she is a liar, but she does lie. You can always she is lying, just by looking at her. If her mouth is moving, she is lying! The Republican party bigwigs were not too happy that she gave her own speech. It was on the Internet but CNN decided to air it. Even Fox didn't air it. It was pretty bad, the bits that I saw. She really doesn't know what she is talking about and I can't understand when you give a speech on TV, or anywhere, shouldn't you check everything out before you open your yap? Well, evidently she doesn't. I believe she wants to run for prez. Saw Megan McCain on MSNBC yesterday and I believe it was her that said that Bachmann is the poor man's Sarah Palin.
I did watch the SOTU, but missed a lot as I was so busy watching The Weeper's (Boehner) mouth. His mouth is a dead giveaway for when he is trying not to cry. He moves it around like he is sucking on a lemon drop. It is quite funny. But, as I said, very distracting.
All in all, the speech was ok. I was disappointed that he didn't talk much about social security and medicare. I was disappointed that he didn't talk about guns. But I guess he had his reasons. Too bad election isn't today! He would be guaranteed re-election! He looks good, and he really is good. Well, we shall see what we shall see!!!!!!

Mouthing off:Tonite is the big nite!! SOTU!!!! Cong.Paul Ryan (R-WI) is giving the rebuttal speech after Pres. Obama and we're hearing so much about it and altho Rachel Maddow says that comparing anyone and anything to Nazi's is a "no-no" I must say that his "road map" seems like Hitler's Final Solution! He wants to raise taxes on middle class, lower taxes for the super rich, prioritize Social Security, give vouchers for Medicare, get rid of the Health Care plan. In other words, he wants to actually get rid of the middle class and poor! What is w/these Republicans? They only know 3 words - Social Security and Medicare! The voucher system, as explained by someone on MSNBC last nite, say, for instance, a 90 yr old man who needs a dr., would be given a voucher - which is actually a coupon - to use for a discount for an insurance plan.
Do you understand this? I don't! Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said that if it ever came up in the Senate to vote out social security there would be 99 votes against it and probably DeMint of one of the Carolinas (I get them mixed up and who cares, to me they are one and the same!) would vote for it.
Meanwhile, back at the State of the Union. Cong. Michelle Bachmann (the one who loves all cameras AND microphones)
is giving her own SOTU rebuttal for the Tea Party, which I probably already mentioned on Sunday. She is really nuts! Has this dazed look about her - she actually scares me more than Palin! Roseanne Barr has been on MSNBC a few times recently. She lives in Hawaii w/her boyfriend - whoever he is - and has a macadamia farm. She says she is running for President from the Tea Bag Party. She still is funny - but she does go on and on and on. Much the same as I am now.

Mouthing off: Just saw Mayor Bloomberg (NYC) on tv. He signed bill for background check on every gun purchased in NYC. Now, that's only the city. However, Gov. Jan Brewer (R-AZ) can do the same for AZ but I will bet you dollars to donuts she will never do it. AZ is the worst gun state in the union. It seems like everyone has a gun! And I don't mean rifle for hunting! She signs everything - not good things - only bad things! Over 21, no background check needed! Some other that I can't remember but I think I mentioned before. I really blame her for the Tucson shooting. What a terrible thing. I just saw that Gabby Giffords, altho she is doing well, they are draining fluid from her brain and I don't think that is good. I saw the woman yesterday that took 9 yr old Christina Taylor Green to the "Congress on Your Corner" at the Safeway in Tucson. She loved Christina and she herself was shot 3 times, in stomach, leg and I think her arm. Sad! Sad! Sad! I say it again and again, I BLAME JAN BREWER!!!!!! I don't know why you don't hear much about anyone saying that AZ should change their gun laws! And REPEAL JANE BREWER!!!!!

Mouthing off: Well, first of all, Keith Olbermann has resigned from MSNBC! That was a big blow to us and his many thousands of listeners. We always watch from beginning to end, but on Fri. he always uses the last 10 min. to read a story from James Thurber, it is called Fridays w/Thurber. I can't stand the reading so I never watch it. However, this past Fri. he evidently read just a little and then used the last few minutes to tell his audience that he is gone!!!!! He will be sorely missed. They will be moving Lawrence O'Donnell from the 7 p.m. - Pacific time - to the 5 replacing Keith. They will move Ed from the 3 p.m. time slot to 7, and then Cenk (from the Young Turks - he is really very good) will replace Ed at 3 p.m. I watch all of them plus Rachel Maddow. I do tape 2 of the shows, I really can't sit there all day altho I would like to!
Now, back to business. Cong. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) who is a very strange person, altho for some reason she gets more $$$ donated than any one else in Congress. She had $13,000,000 for her last re-election campaign. I suppored - in my own little way - Tarryl Clark who is Dem., of course, but would have done very well for the state. Bachmann is for herself, has never seen a camera she didn't love, she is a clone of Palin. She is in Iowa now (I gather that is where you go this time of year - too cold for me - if you want to run for Pres.) and she is going to give her own version of the State of the Union speech Pres. Obama will give on Tues. Now, Paul Ryan of WI is scheduled to give the Rep. rebuttal to the speech on Tues. but she will give her own, as she is a founding member of the Tea Party and Speaker (or Weeper, as he is called) Bohner is not too happy w/that. It may screw everything up for the Republicans.
l2 days after the horrible Tuscon shooting, the Reps were calling for someone to replace Gabby Giffords in the House. They already have one of their own ready to step in, feel it's wrong to have a district unrepresented. Do you believe this? They are something else! Had a Republican been shot they never would have said anything like that! Meanwhile, she is doing very well they say. She has a long haul ahead of her and the whole think makes me ill! I can't stop thinking of that little girl that was killed. They interviews her neighbor yesterday that took her to the mall. The neighbor was shot in 3 places. She is going to have to live w/that the rest of her life. They had a great day planned, lunch after meeting w/the Congresswoman, and then nails done. Lovely lady who evidently loved this child! Meanwhile , the NRA feels there is nothing wrong w/the 30 round clip that the shooter had. Yes, everyone needs 30 round clips!! They can't buck the NRA, biggest lobbyist in the country. Lots of $$$$$! Speaking of $$$$, there is a good chance in 2012 that the Reps can take ove the Senate and the White House! They get $$$$ from everywhere, even from Europe, Middle East and Far East and locally from oil, Big Pharma, Wall St., you name it! That is thanks to our Republican Supreme Court that voted that it is ok to get $$$ from anywhere and any corp and no one has to know who it is. Now, if - God forbid - that happens, we can say bye bye to Social Security, Medicare, etc. etc. etc. The top l% rich people will get a permanent tax cut, that is for sure!
They say Obama needs a billion dollars to win the Presidency and that he can get it. Lets hope!!!!! Anyhow, I have a lot more to say (I always do!) but I am tired of typing.

Been reading about this Jews for Sarah group which really has baffled me and today I found out that they have several hundred members. See? I told you that they meet in someones apartment.

Now I know other people read this and don't sign in. Either they don't know how to sign in (i.e. my husband!) or they don't care to sign in. Whatever!
First of all - I saw something on TV that absolutely cracked me up. There is an organization called American Jews for Sarah Palin. It just doesn't make sense. I know about Jews for Jesus, which makes sense as most Jews do not believe in Jesus, but for many years now many Jews do believe in Jesus so they have an organization. But Sarah Palin? Most Jews are Democrats, that's a fact, and out of the Jews that are not Dems, most of them would never give Sarah Palin the time of day, fact! So, where do these people hold their meetings? Probably in someones studio apt! I mean, there are not that many Jews anyhow! We are a minority! I just don't understand it. Also, what I don't understand is that Tom DeLay, who is a convicted felon, out on $10,000 bail while fighting the verdict, was on The Last Word yesterday. He was asked his opinion about Boehner not going to the Memorial in Tucson as he had a cocktail party for the RNC. He was also asked his opinion on Palin's awful speech the other nite. Who cares about his opinion? Not me, certainly!
Now back to business. We are a big gun country. I never realized that, never really thought of it. But the NRA gun lobby is so great that no one even bothers fighting it. The are - in this country - 90 guns for every 100 people!!!! Every year 30,000 people in the USA get killed by gunshot. 82 people die each day from gunshot. 200,000 people each year are wounded by gunshot. Plus, AZ is the biggest gun state.
There was a law in this country that it was illegal to sell the 30 round clip - that law expired in 2002, and with a Republican President, Republican Senate and Republican House it was never renewed. They are trying now to re-instate it. On the bullets spent in Tucson last Sat. they will be able to tell who was shot lst, 2nd, 3rd, and so on , and if the gun held a legal clip of 10 rounds, they will see who would not have been shot and/or killed. Maybe this little 9 yr old girl would not have been killed. Pres. Obama, in his wonderful speech (even Glen Beck thought it was a wonderful speech, how about that?) said not to point fingers. But I am. I am pointing my finger at that lousy Governor Jan Brewer who signs any bad gun law that they put in front of her. She is evil - you can look at her and see it! Wonder if anyone caught expressions of McCain's face during this Memorial. Didn't show much of him, mostly of Sen Kyl who was right behind Obama, but McCain had his usual bitter expression and I am sure he was thinking "That should be me up there".
Now, Palin's speech. She was "toned down" for that film. She had no earrings on, simple necklace, natural lipstick, hair flattened. Trying to look "presidential" - OMG!!!!!!!! Then, with the screeching voice, it began! Saying people were blaming her, etc. It was a terrible speech. She has 3 speech writers! Can you believe it? In her speech she used the term "blood libel" - I, myself, had never heard it before. It is a term that was applied to Jewish people in the l2th century, if a Chrisitan child went missing, they would accuse the Jews of killing that child and using his blood to make matzos or something for the Passover seder. She had that term in her speech! Got a lot of criticism for that speech even from her fellow Republican but probably not from the Tea Partiers.
Now, today is an election day! Today (I believe it is today) the Republicans vote on a new RNC Chairman, to either replace Michael Steele or retain him. There are about 8 or 10 (I'm not sure - could be more or less and who cares!) that are up for the job and one of the questions they asked this panel is - are y0u ready for this? How many guns do you own? Well, one man said none and they only showed one other person answering this question, a woman, don't know who she is, said, with a little laugh, "we put in a new gun safe for Christmas (?) and we must have about 16 now, rifles, guns, etc." Also, she said her son at West Point has an automatic. I feel like I was living under a rock! I really don't know about things like this. There was a woman interviewed who is a neighbor of this Jared Lee (the Tucson shooter) and she said she comes home from work around midnite and sometimes he would be on her driveway and when asked if she was afraid, she said no, she was "carrying". It was so matter of fact! No natural! Well, not be me it isn't! Anyhow, I am getting tired, mentally & physically. That is it for now. I really should read this over for errors but I never do, so if I misspell or mispunctuate, please forgive me.

Well, it has been some weekend. It was too much for me to write about. Before I forget, Reggie, I saw your comment and I answered it. Evidently I didn't answer in right spot as I know you didn't get it. I will try again.
Anyhow, it is very easy to blame someone. Like Sarah Palin, of course! I really don't blame Sarah Palin for this shooting. But - she took that map off of her website as soon as this shooting happened so she must have thought about it. She does incite people and there are a lot of crazies in this country. Never realized that these politicos get threatened all the time. Not being a crazy myself, I guess I never thought that people are like that! But when a Michelle Bachmann tells the people in her small districk in MN - "We must be armed and dangerous" - don't you think that is a little much? Would that not get people all excited and believe her? They must believe in her, as she was re-elected. God only knows why!!! Anyway, back to AZ. As I said, it is easy to blame someone - and I do! I blame the Gov. Jan Brewer for the weakest gun laws in the country. I do know people can buy guns anywhere and in AZ it is very easy to get guns over the border in Mexico. However, she just signed a law that you can have a gun in a bar and a restaurant. Also, a law that says you don't need a permit!!!! And a law that says if you are over 21 you don't need to be checked out to buy a gun! The shooter bought the ammunition at Wal-Mart for God's sake!!!! He went to one Wal-Mart and was turned down as he was acting somewhat nutty so he went to another one and bought his ammo. He had a clip that held 33 rounds!!!! Can you believe that? I heard someone today from the Brady Group that said that they aren't selling those clips anymore. Well, maybe someone should tell them at Wal-Mart. I knew there was another reason I don't shop at Wal-Mart!!!
This whole thing makes me sick. I keep thinking of that little girl, 9 years old. She was born on 9/11/01 and is written up in a book that list someone born on that date in each state. Her grandfather is Dallas Greene - former mgr of the Phila. Phillies when they won the Nat'l League Championship. She was a beautiful child and was just elected to the student council at her school, was interested in politics and wanted to meet a real politician. It is tragic! The whole thing is tragic. We have so much hatred in this country. Since we have elected a Black President (whom I think is great, I love him and his beautiful family) the racists have gone nuts!!!! We have a Congressman in CA. Orange County, wealthy Republican area, his name is Darryl Issa. Some yrs back he started a campaign to get rid of our Democratic Governor, Grey Davis and it worked. Then we ended up w/Schwartzenegger who, during a debate before the primary, said to a man, "You sign the back of a check - I sign the front". What an ass!!!! Anyhow, now this Issa is back again, on a witch hunt, trying to get rid of Pres. Obama. He is going on Fox (naturally!) saying that Pres. Obama is the most corrupt president we have ever had (What happened to Bush? - where was Issa from 2000 to 2008?) and this is the most corrupt administration we have ever had (I repeat - where was Issa from 2000 to 2008?) We have Limbaugh spewing filth about Obama, Beck who is really insane, Sarah Palin (I said it before - I will say it again - I will never forgive John McCain for introducing her to the country), Michelle Backmann, Sharron Angle (thank God she didn't get elected!)
and the pot has been boiling and boiling and boiling and then we have this tragic killing in Arizona! Absolutely nonsensical
(did I spell that right?) and insane!!!! We must just pray for Congresswoman Gabby Giffords and hope she recovers and recovers fully. By the way, the Tea Partiers are complaining that they are being blamed and this killer is not a member of any tea party group. Well, they are finding out all kinds of stuff about him and it seems that he had some connection to them, but I really can't write about it as I don't know how or why or when. I will close now as this is just taking too much out of me!

Just a fast note, it is the weekend afterall. Michelle Bachmann is now on the House Intelligence Committee. I "tweeted" that Bachmann on Intelligence Committee is like an oxymoron and the next day Roy Sekoff (Huffington Post) and Keith Olbermann both said the same thing. Now, either they both thought of it (possible!) or they read it in my tweet which is in the MSNBC area. Who knows! I'd like to think they got it from me, but most probably not!

New house, etc.

Just to give you an example of the new Republican House: Rep. Sessions (R-TX) & Rep. Fitzpatrick (R-PA) were at a fund-raiser when they should have been at the swearing-in ceremony for the Congressmen. Evidently, they didn't think it was important enuf! However, they did vote on something or other which is against the Constitution as they weren't sworn in! Another however, the 2 of them (idiots) say they watched it on TV and when they were all swearing-in, they (as they watched it on TV!) put up their right hands and swore in. Yes, this is true! That's what they say they did. How dumb we all are! We could have put up our right hands and swore-in and we would all be Congressmen (or women!). GIVE ME A BREAK! This is an example of the new Republican House.
In addition, the CBO (Congressional Budget Office) said yesterday that if the Health Care Plan was repealed, it would end up in costing the country $230 billion from 2012-2021!
Now, the new speaker, or rather - the new weeper - said, so what? He doesn't believe that. So be it!
I mentioned the other day about Gov. Mitch Daniels (R-IN) who really looked good, most likely planning on running for Prez with the 50 or so other Republicans who are planning to run for Prez. Well, I found out a little about him - he was Bush's Budget Director and it was him that was instrumental in pushing thru the Bush tax cuts for the rich! It was on his watch that the deficit doubled!!!!! Now, do we want him for Prez? I don't think so!!!!!
Sec. Gates yesterday said they will be cutting back on $$$$$ that was going to be used for defense. They were getting these amphibian boats for $l4 billion, that are used to take a beach! We haven't "taken a beach" since WWII!!!!!! God knows how much $$$$ is being wasted in this country and all they can talk about is to cut social security & medicare!!!!
One more thing - Michael Steele - who is fighting to keep his job as RNC chairman, was quoted as saying "they were the best of times; they were the worst of times" which, (he said) was from his favorite book, "War & Peace" ! Now, most of you know that is from Dickens' "Tale of Two Cities" . Needless to say, Mr. Steele was quite embarrassed!

Swearing in of the new Congress

I didn't want to watch it but I did watch some of it! Nancy Pelosi is a real lady! She handed over the extra-large gavel (boy, it is big!) to the new Weeper of the House, whose face was all contorted as he was trying not to bawl, but he did cry! Oh yes, several times! Has a hanky in a very convenient place so he can just slip his hand in and get it and blot! She hugged and kissed him - ich! Poor Nancy! That Bohner is something else! He never once - not once - mentioned getting jobs for the thousands that are out of work! Only the deficit which, I grant you, most people don't give a hoot about. The jobless, the economy, that's what is important. They want to privatize social security, put medicare on a voucher plan (how the hell that works is beyond me!) repeal what they call the Obamaplan medical insurance because as one new tea-partier Rep (Alan West, R-FL) said, people should buy their own health insurance. Yes, that's true - in a perfect world they could. However, we do not live in a perfect world. Re Alan West, he was on Lawrence O'Donnell's "The Last Word" last night. Excellent show. Lawrence, in case you don't know, has a very impressive resume. He was w/Clinton Administration, is a writer (had written for the tv show "The West Wing" ) and many, many other things I can't think of now. Anyhow, Rep West, whom I had see before, is going to cause mucho trouble in the House! Mucho, mucho, mucho!!!!! He has a woman w/him that I believe ran his campaign and she is his chief of staff and she is something else! Beware of these people. He came on the show yesterday, ready for Lawrence whom he knows is a Democrat, and he had his chip on his shoulder - wait, can't call it a chip, he had a block of wood on his shoulder bigger than his head! He brags about his background which is fine but he is on the defensive at all times! Well, it seems these new house members, most are tea-partiers, I believe, promised that they would get the deficit down $100,000,000 or billion, who knows (or cares!) and now - ONE DAY IN OFFICE - they see that they can't get it down that much, but maybe down to $30,000,000 (or billion). They renegged on a promise after ONE DAY IN OFFICE!!!!!!! (does renege have 2 g's or one? I keep a dictionary w/me but too lazy or wound up to look in it! Enuf about Rep West! For the moment!
Lawrence interviewed (can't remember his name) the gov of Ind. (Republican) who is most likely going to run for Prez. He looks good, sounds good, never heard of him but when I think back, we never heard of Bill Clinton, either! I remember when he was nominated and I thought - who the hell is he? Also, I found out, Michelle Bachmann may be running for Prez. Now, she is a liar! Very easy to tell - just watch her - you know she is lying when her mouth moves!!!!! She is a tea-partier, had raised more money for her campaign than anyone ever had in the House of Reps. She never met a camera she didn't fall in love with! I backed Taryl Clark who ran against her in MN. I say, backed, - I sent her some money - $5 here and there - but she sounded good and Bachmann is a very dangerous person. Just have to look at her w/that crazy glare in her eyes and she is always on Fox w/Hannity. Need I say more? Actually, I am not going to say more, this is enuf for now!!!!!

Repeal of the Health Care Bill

As I said before, the new house is voting - actually I believe the date is 1/13 or 1/14 about repealing the health care bill, which they call Obamacare. They want to repeal the whole bill not just parts and make changes. They want to make a whole new bill. Now correct me if I am wrong - do you remember George W. Bush ever once saying the words Health Care Bill for the uninsured Americans? You can't remember because he never did utter words like that. And I believe I am correct when I say only Democrats tried to get a health care bill for the thousands and thousands of Americans who cannot go to drs as they can't afford it. All of a sudden the Republicans are going to create a health care bill! They don't want the one we have as Obama created it! The Republicans say that the are only doing what the people want. What people? People are already using the health care bill which accepts pre-existing conditions. One Congressionman (Rep of course) whose wife has a pre-existing condition, can't get insurance, but he is going to vote to repeal. Per Lawrence O'Donnell on The Last Word (Try and watch him, he has an excellent show) the repeal that they will vote for in the House will go nowhere as Obama will veto it. Now, millions of Americans are out of work, people are still losing their homes, economy is very bad, but all these Republicans want to do is repeal the health care bill! Do you understand it - I sure as hell don't!!!!!
Now, the big corporations that put so much money into these new Republicans coming to the Senate and Congress are ready for their payback. So, l6 Republican governors are already making waves. They want to stop having unions. They want deregulation which I know what it means, but don't understand fully, so I must listen more. But one of the corps that is with them is Wal-Mart which I wouldn't walk into if it was the last store in town, just on principal! Another program I recommend is The Ed Show, Ed Schultz is the greatest! I tape his show and Lawrence O'Donnell - I mean how much can I sit there - but I do watch regularly so evidently I do sit there a lot! But I am learning! I am learning that Democrats don't do too much fighting back. Well, maybe now that it is imperative that we do, we will. 21 Democrats jobs will be on the line in 2012 and only 10 Republican. We do not want a Republican Senate w/the existing Rep House and we certainluy don't want a Republican Prez. Then, Canada - here I come!!!!!!!

Well, the new House of Representatives have already started!
Complete w/their tea partiers! President Obama is not due back until tomorrow - but the "new house" are voting today to repeal his Health Care Plan! Do you believe this? I guess these Republicans don't like the thought of people having health care! They're better off if they just die, is that it? It absolutely makes me ill!!!!! I cannot say anymore.

Tom Colburn, M.D., R/Sen - OK

Lets talk a little about Sen. Colburn, R/Oklahoma, who is really something else! What he is I haven't figured out yet! He is one of the "C" St residents (D.C. in case you don't know about "C" St) who are very religious, mostly Rep. but 1 Dem lives there that I know of, it's a big building, w/either just rooms or maybe small apts that politicos live at and pay little rent. It was registered as a church for tax reasons but now that they have been sort of "exposed" they can't write it off anymore. Colburn is a big shot there. He is VERY religious! He also had an extra-marital affair right there in his "C" St apt. or room, whatever he has. But that's ok. I believe - not sure - that Sen Ensign of NV lives there, too. It seems that a pre-requisite for living there is to have an affair! But who knows!
Back to Colburn. When they were trying to get health insurance for the lst 9/11 Responders, Sen/Dr. Colburn held out, was definitely against it. Some of the 9/11 Responders stormed his office in OK and his office in D.C. Jon Stewart had 4 of these men on his show and he had most to do w/them getting the insurance. He had a great show as he always does, but this one was not one of the funny ones! Anyhow, they shamed Colburn into oking it and as a result, they did get their insurance plan, asked for 6 billion, I think, but they settled for 4 billion. This is an example of a Republican!!!!!! Don't remember if I wrote about this other thing, tho. But, here goes. A Dem. Sen. can't remember his name except his lst name is Rush, can't forget that name, was trying to get some kind of treatment ok'd for the military that are returning w/PTSD, as so many are. There have been many suicides, in fact, when George was Prez he tried to cover that up. This was treatment that would cost very little (in D.C. money, that is) and McCain, rat that he is, was adament against it. He said to this Dem Sen. "Maybe you have that trouble in ((I forget the state) but we don't have that trouble in AZ". For a man who is supposedly their military expert only because he was a POW, he certainly has no soft spot in his heart for the military problems they are now having and have been having. Oh well, enuf is enuf!!!!! I must rest now!!!! This mouthing off is making me tired!

Haley Barbour- Gov MS

This thing w/Haley Barbour - he makes me sick! These 2 sisters were imprisoned for LIFE!!!! Stole, at gun point, ok, not really ok, but stole $11.00! lst offense!!!!! Now, one of them needs a kidney and the other sister is a match so he is releasing them with the condition that the sister give the other sister a kidney. Now if this is a permanent release - who knows! He wants to run for President! He is probably the most racist of them all! (Including Palin!) And most likely, he is also a bigot, anti-semite, etc.etc.etc. When I see him, I get ill! He grew up in Yazoo City, MS. Need I say more? He also took some off time, on the state of MS, spending somewhere around $500,000! That the state of MS paid for! But who cares? The whole state is racist, evidently. God knows what goes on in those southern states! GA, the Carolinas, AL, to me, narrow minded as I am, they are all the same! But this guy, he really gets to me! And I am sure he is probably very religious, also. They usually are. I could go on and on but they all really make me ill!!!!! I think I put Palin at the very top! I just read that her daughter bought a house in AZ, I think. WHO CARES????????????????????? She was on Dancing w/the Stars. Is she a star? What did she do to become a star? Oh yes, she got pregnant at l7, she's a single mom, making commercials about abstinance! Ok, that's cool!!!!!! Wrong!!!!! I really can't care less who gets pregnant, I do not judge, nor condemn, however - her mother judges! That is what really pisses me off!!!!!!! Wow, I am wound up today!!!!!
Well, I can't wait to see all the MSNBC people next week. Hope they are all back on Monday! Probably not but I can hope!

I haven't been "mouthing off" since before Christmas. So, here I am! I am really worried about the new House of Reps. They keep threatening - and seeing how things always went the way of the Conservatives, even before they were the majority, what can happen now!!! To see John Bohner (did I spell it right? Well, who cares!) cry and believe me, when they swear him in, he will cry! My husband cried watching an old, old (naturally it's old!) Shirley Temple movie last week! What can I say?? Anyhow, they keep talking about cutting social security and medicare - sure, cut from the seniors! Cut from the poor and the schools! As long as the top l% of this country get their tax cuts!!!! The big corps like Exxon, G.M., B of A, etc. are asking if they have to pay taxes to get their money from the Caymans or Bermuda, or wherever they stashed it seeing that they made that money in the Caymans or Bermuda (wink, wink) Can you believe them????? This is for real. They do not want to pay taxes on that money that they sent out of the country and never paid taxes on it before, so why should they pay taxes when they bring it back into the country? Something's screwy here.
By the way, I really enjoyed Cenk who took over for Ed Schultz on The Ed Show on MSNBC. He is from
The Young Turks and he is really good. I enjoyed the show emensely. Sam Seder was good subbing  for Olbermann and he has a good sense of humor. Missed Rachel very much. I hate when they re-hash the whole year. Norah O'Donnell is very good and so is Contessa Brewer. Oh yes, also missed Lawrence O'Donnell, also.  Hopefully they will all be back on Monday. I really don't sit the whole day and nite and watch MSNBC altho I could! I tape most of it except Olbermann & Maddow. Those I watch live. Anyhow, I will miss Nancy sitting next to VP Biden and having Bohner there will only make Biden look paler! They are really out to get Obama and I know many people are upset w/him but I am not. I do not want to see a President Palen (oh, perish the thought!!!gag!gag!gag!) or even a Huckleberry! (I know that's not his name, it is what I call him!) Don't know much about Pawlenty but I don't know how we can handle a Rep Congress, Rep Senate & Rep Prez! Too much for my brain to think about. I may have mentioned this before but in 2012, 21 Dem Sen will be fighting for their jobs and only 10 Rep Sens. Chances are that we will lose some Dem. Sens and lose the Senate. I got a beautiful e-mail from Barbara Boxer and I am so thrilled that she was re-elected! I couldn't handle Farina!!!!! Where was our governator when we had all these floods here? Shouldn't he have been available or not? Well, that's about it. Happy New Year to anyone who bothers to read this.
