The GOP is still turning down the health care for the 9/11 lst responders! It is unbelievable! Kyl (the other idiot Sen from AZ) said, after they brought it down to 6 billion needed - how do we know this is a good price? 9/11 was almost 10 yrs ago! - like ok, it doesn't matter anymore. They are really heartless.
Learned a bit about McCain last nite on Lawrence O'Donnell's show. Joe Klein - from Time Mag. knows McCain very well and he said he is - in one word - BITTER! Early in this century, I thought McCain was the one man the Dems couldn't beat and I was really upset when he was nominated. Well, it turns out that the McCain we all knew - was not the real McCain! The real McCain was very bitter when Bush won the nomination and not McCain, and so when he became Prez, McCain did everything he could to go against Bush which made him appear as non-partisan. Now, that Obama has beat him, he is doing everything he can to go against Obama, because he is a BITTER OLD MAN!!!! This is the real McCain! The nice one that we thought we knew was only putting on an act. Strange, isn't it? He is also going against himself! Unbelievable! He proposes something and then when it comes up for final vote, he votes against it. Did this several times. I believe it is time for Mr. McCain to retire!

Mouthing off!
Sarah Palin calls the Bush tax cut for the rich:
The tax cut for the job makers! They didn't make 1 job in 10 yrs but maybe she isn't aware of that! Can't you see her w/some foreigh head of state saying "You betcha! I absolutely refudiate that!"By the way, Michelle Bachmann is going to be on the Intelligence Committee. Isn't that an oxymoron!!!!!!

Jon Stewart had a different type of show last nite. He had 4 men, NYPD & FDNY, all very ill w/cancer. One of the men had stage 4 throat cancer, one had lung cancer. The discussion was re the bill that the Republicans turned down to help the 9/11 1st Responders w/insurance. Stewart showed tapes of the Republicans yesterday, Kyl (AZ) whining re "this is the 2nd most Christian holiday, blah, blah, blah" - because they have to work. They don't work all year, might as well now, at least they will have something to show for 2010! Then he showed a tape of Senate Minority Leader McConnell, shedding a tear
(Oh, no! We have another weeper!) because his friend Judd Gregg was retiring and he lunched w/him every day, or whatever! Then they turned down the bill that would help these 9/11 lst Responders w/insurance that I believe has expired! Then on Letterman he had Huckabee who agreed that they should have voted to help these people and then said he believed that it was only 2 Republicans that voted No. I thought about that and altho I am not that savvy when it comes to politics, I can add. There are 42 Republican Senators, and I believe there are 2 Independent (1 of whom always votes w/Dems and the other, Lieberman, who knows what he does!) which leaves 46 Democrat Senators. Well, if 40 Republicans voted yes, that would mean they would only need 20 Democrats to vote yes and that would give them the needed 60 votes. No, doesn't make sense. Whatever it is, they voted no to helping the 9/11 1st Reponders who are dying.
I leave you with that.

Mouthing off: Mouthing off: Mouthing off:
It is almost funny! If it weren't so sad, disgusting, sickening, etc etc etc - it would be funny! Kyl, McConnell & the rest of the evil gang, were carrying on that Christmas is one of the 2 most Christian holidays and making them work was terrible and unchristian! True! However, yesterday was 12/15 and as far as I can recall, 12/15 is not a holiday. Nor is the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19, 20, etc. And carrying on that it's wrong for them not to have a 2 wk holiday! MOST OF AMERICANS DO NOT HAVE A 2 WEEK HOLIDAY! What, are they 12? Majority Leader Reid said they have to come back on the 26th of Dec and boy, are they mad!!!!!!! Actually, it is comical.
Something to think about: in 2012, 21 Dem. Sen. & only 10 Rep Sen. are up for re-election. Now, considering that when the House and the Senate were Democratic majority, it seemed that the Republicans were still ruling. Now - 1/4/11 the House will be Rep majority so they will still be ruling (?) Somebody please explain it to me. And on that tax bill, something else I don't understand. Lousy Lieberman (who I still can't recognize when I see him as during the campaign for President 2 yrs ago he had his head up McCain's butt) voted for the tax bill but I stand corrected - I do understand - he has a lot of wealthy constituents in Conn. But, Feingold in Wis. who also voted for the bill, is not even going to be in office in Jan as he lost last month, why does he care? All I can think of when they talk about Bush's tax cut for the wealthy, is McCain who is getting a tax cut AND social security! Makes me ill! Anyway, I got off track here. Back to the 2012 election - with 21 Democratic's up for re-election there is a good chance someone is going to lose and if the Senate becomes Rep majority, well, then what difference will it make anyhow. They are always in charge. What is wrong w/these Democrats? I could go on and on and on! '
One more thing - Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) is already starting to ask for $$$$$ for her campaign in 2012! I supported Taryn Clark who ran against Bachmann and it is a real shame she lost! Bachmann - who is really crazy and I am not just saying it - she has a few screws loose - so much so that even people in her own party steer away from her. And - one more think - remember Sharron Angle - the strange (very strange) lady who ran against Harry Reid in NV? She is starting a PAC - why?????? Who the hell knows!!!!!!

Mouthing off: Mouthing off: Sarah Palin is going to Haiti with F...
John Bohner is now called the Weeper of the House! If he starts that crying everytime he is on tv it will be a little hard to take, that w/his orange-tan face is a little much! It's not like he is crying that people are living on the street, or that kids are going hungry, or something to cry about. He is crying as he is so filled w/emotion. Yes, he is filled alright but it is not w/emotion.
Reggie, if you read this, I wish you a very merry Christmas and a happy & healthy New Year!!!! And, by the way, our summer is over!!!! Raining and slightly colder. That's what we all get for bragging about our weather!!!!!
Next subject: Michael Moore gave a bulk of $$$$ to bail out Assange. Very interesting. I will google Moore to read all about it as I can't remember all he said last nite but one thing he did say that I thought was extremely interesting, had there been a Wikileak in 2002 or 2003, we would have known that there was no reason to go to war w/Iraq and that Cheney was at the root of it all, as I said before - Bush was just a bystander!!!! So many interesting things that Moore said. Of course, you have to like him and believe him. Well, must go, busy day today.

Mouthing off: Sarah Palin is going to Haiti with Franklin Graham...
First of all, hi Reggie! How are you doing? We are suffering here w/summer weather! Only kidding, if I didn't know you liked it there I wouldn't say this!!!! But you know how we are out here during the winter!!! I will try to find out how you can comment. Glad someone is reading this. Someone told me that I was on my soap box again so now I can vent and complain all I want. Well, back to Sarah Palin. She went to Haiti for the weekend (I personally would rather go to Vegas for the weekend but to each his own, I always say!) She took the former lst Sleeze and a daughter, Bristol, I think. Who's watching the kid? And she had a Fox TV crew, exclusively. Wonder why? Oh, yes, they paid for it! She and Michelle Bachmann never saw a camera they didn't love! If this isn't getting ready to run for Prez, then what is? Now she can say she has experience. It is making me ill! Well, enuf of Palin.
Last nite I heard that Charles Krauthammer, who I believe writes a column for the Washington Post, entitled his column
"Swindle of the Year". He believes that Pres. Obama took the Republicans for all they are worth (which ain't much) with this tax bill. I can't understand it all but something about borrowing billions more from the Chinese and having the economy shape up during the next 2 yrs which will make him a shoo-in for the 2012 elections. I certainly hope so! What I can't understand is - the Cheney/Bush (I always put Cheney lst as Bush really was just a bystander) made such a mess out of this country and as soon as Obama was elected the Republicans are saying they can help this country get back on its feet, blah, blah, blah! WHERE WERE THEY FOR 8 YEARS?
Anyway, did anyone see 60 min. Sun. nite? I didn't but saw clips of it and Bohner cried 4 times, I believe. He is unbelievable! As I heard someone say, if Nancy Pelosi cried like he did, they would say she was unstable! I am not looking forward to seeing "the tan man" (as Ed Schultz calls him) sitting next to VP Biden this year! Well, that is about it. Sure wish I could see some comments. I will ask my son about that.

Sarah Palin is going to Haiti with Franklin Graham. She is unbelievable! Does she know they are black in Haiti? Lizz (can't think of her last name) she is the co-creater of The Daily Show, said that Palin is going because Haiti has the word "Hate" in it!!!! They are still having terrible problems, she will only add to them. Where was she for the past 12 months? They had an earthquake, disease, and now Palin! That's not mine, also belongs to Lizz. Her book sales are down quite a bit so she figures she has to do something. She is getting ready to run - far, far, away - I hope! But she will run for president - we all know that. Been hearing about Christine O'Donnell quite a bit. What is with these people that we never heard of before, run for office, lose, and then we can't get rid of them. They are like gum at the bottom of your shoe.
What is going on in D.C.

Mouthing off:Well, I finally got into Twitter. I cannot tell you how long I have been trying and I will not go into the boring details, but I did it this a.m. I left message for Sarah Palin (don't know if it took) and Keith Olbermann & Rachel Maddow, my heroes!!!!
I am still upset w/Pres. Obama and the tax cuts for the rich and not famous. I am not as upset as I was, as I sort of understand. However, what I don't understand, is: During the Bush years
(Oh, God, how I am trying ot forget them!!!) when the Reps were majority in both Houses, everything he wanted got passed. If the Dems proposed anything he just vetoed everything. Now, as of today (until, unfortunately, 12/31/10) the Dems are majority in both Houses and they can't get anything passed. The Reps are unhappy w/the word "hostage" but that is what they are doing - they are holding the middle and lower class as hostages just to get tax cuts for the rich! It doesn't make sense. Well, it does to them as that is where they get their money. But they all MUST have poor constituents, it is impossible not to. And why the last minute? The DADT bill was repealed in the house in Sept. Why wait until the llth hr for the Senate to turn it down? Also, Wed. Lieberman (I-Conn) & Susan Collins (R- somewhere in New England) announced that the Senate had the 60 votes it needed to repeal and then something happened and they took another vote on Thurs. and Susan Collins was at the dentist and didn't know about this vote and they didn't have the 60 votes. Someone said they decided to go to war faster than repealing this bill. It is sad! Well, we shall see what happens today. I could go on and on, this is great, I love being on my soap box. I only hope someone reads it.

Bush tax cuts..
Well, let's see if this works! I am new at this and really don't know if I am doing this right.
Right now I am so angry w/the Democrats and Pres. Obama re the Bush tax cuts for the rich which will expire 12/31/10 and the way it looks right now, it will not expire and the next step to help the deficit will be to raise our Medicare insurance which means less money in our Social Security benefits. It is immoral!!!!!!
They had to work yesterday in Congress - on a Sat. - how about that? 42 Repubicans voted against repealing the Bush tax cuts for the rich.
So, the last I heard, Pres. Obama will cut a deal w/them re this tax cut so that maybe they will cut a deal w/him. It is making me positively ill!
This tax cut for the rich comes to roughly 70 billion a year. We will have to borrow money from the Chinese to give millionaires a tax break! Does that make sence????? They want to stop unemployment benefits also. The other idiot senator from AZ, I think his name is Shedag (something like that) who is probably a bigger idiot than the OTHER AZ Rep senator, said that when people receive their unemployment checks they don't spend the money so that can't help the economy!!!! They don't spend it???? OMG!!!! WHAT DO THEY DO WITH IT???? Limbaugh said that anyone living off of the government (I assume he meant getting unemployment or welfare) shouldn't be allowed to vote!!!!! I am so angry about this. Well, I hope this will record. It is the 2nd time I am writing about this today and who knows where the lst one went!
